Children’sDay V/S Covid-19 Trauma

Children’s day is a day in which it promotes the rights and education of children. It falls in November 20; World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare. This day is probably celebrated every year to honor children and protect their rights.

Children’s day is celebrated each year on the birth of India’s first Prime Minister “Jawaharlal Nehru” in November 14 at 1889 AD.From that day, Children’s day was celebrated.

Children’s day was celebrated for the first time in India at 1954 AD. Children’sday was established by “Jawaharlal Nehru”. He was from India. He was known for his affection for kids. Due to his love for children he was called as “Chacha Nehru.” So now we know that, it’s celebrated in India for the first time.

We just talked about India so, now let’s talk about USA. So, in USA children’s day is called as rose day. And it was later followed by President Bush in 2001 AD who declared the first Sunday in June as National Child’s day.

Let’s talk about Korea; Children’s day was introduced to Korea at 1923 AD by “Bang Jeong Hwan.” He was a writer of children’s literature and a fighter of children’s rights.

In Korea, Children are well manneredand they are helpful and respectful toward their elders. And I had watched many blog of Korea; I can honestly say that Koreans are family-friendly.

Now our country Nepal, Children’s day or BalDiwas was introduce by “UN Convention” in 1990 AD.Children’s day is celebrated on Bhadra 29 according to Nepali Calendar. It is a National holiday to celebrate children and to highlight the need to protect their welfare and to give them opportunities to grow up happy and safe

We can celebrate children’s day by attending special events coz this day is a special day for children, going to camping, parents should also be with their children and many more.

We can call 0 to 15 yrs as kid but 15 yrs are no longer kids but, nor an adult either. It’s a time of physical change and emotional development. And from 16, Children reach as teenagers.

Talking about Nepal, this is a developing country and it’s a small country too and talking about Korea it’s also a small country but the only difference Korea is a developed country.

Talking to Nepalese children, they are disciplined but comparing to Koreans Children, they are more disciplined, well-mannered and many more. I had watched many social experiment videos in YouTube and many children help and respect elders.

I am not comparing Nepal and Korea nor saying that Nepalese Children didn’t respect; help elders or aren’t well mannered. I am also a Nepalese child and I just saying that every Korean Children are educated and family friendly so that why, this country is developed in my opinion.

So its lockdown time, we know covid-19 has been leak all over the world. So we aren’t able to go outside and to have fresh air.And I am thinking that what is government doing? Coz hundreds of people are dying from covid-19 and just government is watching that view.

So, we studied child rights in social studies; right to education, right to freedom, right to survival, right to care, right to love and many more and now where are our child rights? Children aren’t getting education coz of lockdown, they aren’t getting freedom coz they are locked in their own home and most of children are dying coz ofcovid-19; where is our right of survival.

Most of adults are frustrated not only adults children are also frustrated and mind distress and also one of them is me. I am also irritated of being in home quarantine. Many people are doing suicide beingmined distress and in home quarantine.

Children are like we are now animals in the zoo. We have become the same as the hunk of the animal. Like in zoo, animal aren’t free; they are just locked in their cage. Now I found that how animal feel? They also want to go outside just like us.

And the most important thing is children are just wasting their time in modern gadgets. They aren’t using their mind in creative things and just using their mobile phones. Their mind process will be damage if they will just use gadgets and will not use their mind in the creative things and then the creativity will lose.

Children aren’t getting to read and it may destroy their future. Even some children didn’t open their books. Also somewhere online class is running. Government will be announcing that online class will be a regular class as we study in our school. But there are many children who don’t have laptops, mobile phone or internet facility and not proper technological skills as well. There are many children who are in a remote area and also don’t know what to read or write they are illiterate; their future may be dark. So, now I can honestly say that Nepal is a developing country and why it is not a developed country? How would they read? Who will provide them? What if the light goes in middle of the course of the class? What if child didn’t attend the class because of his/her problem?

Like; at school time, we can just ask our friend that what we had studied yesterday but now in online class who will tell them? Ok, your friend will but can they explain you properly in your online class and also teacher will just say I can’t just give you time separately so ask your friend. Yes, this will be the problem. Now, I am not saying that online class should be banned but there are many children who don’t have the modern gadgets so.

I have many questions like this, now who will answer me these questions? Is there anyone?
